DAILY DINING OPTIONS WHEN STAYING AT OUR LAKE GEORGE RESORT
Whatever time of day, whatever time of year, Lake George and the entire Adirondack region offer up some of the more unique
dining opportunities you’ll ever come across. Rest assured that when you stay at one of the
Adirondack vacation homes at The Lodges at Cresthaven, or choose to invest in a timeshare at our resort, one thing you can always count on is the chance for great, new dining
experiences.
Start Your Day Off at a Lake George Diner
What better way to kick off your morning than with a hearty meal that will keep you going until lunch. Lake George has a number of
establishments that accomplish just that. The Lone Bull Restaurant, open from May – October, serves up classic breakfast cuisine
including eggs, waffles, pancakes and more. Another seasonal restaurant, Grandma’s Back Porch, brings a helping of home cooking to
the Adirondacks with great meals filled with delicious meats and vegetables.
If your vacation home stay comes before the heart of the summer season or lasts into the beautiful fall foliage season, McGowan’s
Restaurant is for you. And if anyone in your group loves eggs benedicts or mouth watering French toast they won’t be disappointed.
Enjoy Lunch While Taking in the Majestic Scenery of the Adirondacks
For a great meal with terrific scenery there is no need to leave the grounds of our resort. You’ll
enjoy casual dining at The
Boathouse Restaurant while looking out over Lake George by just walking out your vacation home door and down to the shore.
If you’re out and about when lunchtime rolls around, why not try the Country Cafe at Sutton's Marketplace on Route 9, just south of
Lake George in Queensbury, NY. This family friendly establishment is open year round and serves up breakfast and lunch daily. Hearty
soups and sandwiches complemented by fresh salads are sure to please everyone in your group. If you’ve traveled into the Adirondacks
and are anywhere near North Creek, make sure to head to the much talked about Casey’s North Restaurant and Tavern, known for American
style food that will fill you up before heading back to your timeshare or vacation rental.
Dinner at One of the Legendary Adirondack Restaurants is the Perfect Ending to Any Day in Lake George
Sure the region has your standard collection of good chain restaurants. But that’s not why you came to our Lake George resort. You
want to experience the charm and atmosphere the Adirondacks have kept alive throughout the years. You don’t even have to travel far
from your cottage at The Lodges for this –
The Boathouse Restaurant at Cresthaven is open for dinner as well, serving seafood, steak
and other favorites along with fresh vegetables and warm dinner rolls. The Algonquin Restaurant is also near by, up the shore on Lake
George. By combining great seafood and other entrees with unique appetizers in an authentic Adirondack setting, The Algonquin is definitely
a restaurant worth enjoying a dinner at.
In Lake George there is also the Log Jam Restaurant. Nothing gets more Adirondack than this - it’s in an actual log cabin. Open all
year long, their extensive menu with original chicken recipes, lobster and a famous salad bar will keep you full until it’s time for
breakfast again.
If you find the need to explore the surrounding region, there are plenty of restaurants that meet the high standards that
you’re looking for. In Chestertown, a few miles north of the Village, Friend’s Lake Inn serves up New American cuisine in a 19th century
dining room. This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner and to choose a special bottle from their extensive wine selection. If
you’re down in Saratoga Springs at the racetrack or shopping center as it’s nearing dinner time, head to Longfellows Inn and Restaurant.
They offer a great combination of delicious cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. You’ll enjoy the smell of the fireplace throughout the
restaurant no matter what time of year.
