This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Adirondack Balloon Festival! To celebrate this milestone, the festival has added even more dates and events to make this year’s event better than ever. When & Where is the Festival?
The Adirondack Balloon Festival will return to the Lake George area September 21st-24th, 2023. This free event occurs at Floyd Bennet Memorial Airport in Queensbury, with balloon flights at sunrise or sunset. Please refer to the faq section of the website for any inquiries.

Floyd Bennet Memorial Airport, Sep. 22-24
The annual celebration at Floyd Memorial Airport will continue in 2023! Witness over 70 balloons take flight, food vendors, craft fair, exhibitors, kids activities, and music performances every night of the festival.
Saturday, Sep. 23, will bring two unique anniversary events to the festival. Watch 5-10 balloons launch at dawn or stick around for the moonglow event in the evening!
Cocktail Reception at Hiland Park Country Club, Sep. 20
Kick off the Balloon Festival at the 50th Anniversary Cocktail Reception and Moonglow Event at Hiland Park Country Club. This special event will celebrate community sponsors and participating pilots while being backdropped by the moonglow of up to ten balloons and the sounds of live music. Tickets will be $40 and will be available for purchase via the festival website.
50th Anniversary Parade, Sep. 21
The 50th Anniversary Parade will go from downtown Glens Falls to Crandall Park. After the parade, there will be an opening ceremony with welcoming remarks from event organizers, balloon launches, and live music.
Keep in mind that Thursday events are still awaiting approval from the NYS and have yet to be confirmed.
