When Do the Lake George Fireworks Take Place?
The fireworks over Lake George occur every Thursday at 9:30 pm from July 4th through the end of August.
In addition to the weekly fireworks, we have special fireworks displays on the 4th of July and Labor Day Weekend. Use this event calendar to find the exact firework dates for 2026.
What Happens if it Rains?
The weather doesn’t always cooperate with this schedule. Fireworks are weather-dependent, so rain or storms might cause cancellations. You can find updates on the Village of Lake George Facebook page or by calling 518-668-5771. Rain dates are on Fridays.
Where to Watch Fireworks in Lake George?
Fireworks can be seen from almost anywhere in the Lake George Village, but many people choose to view them from Lake George Battlefield Park, Shepard Park, Canada Street, or Beach Road.
You can also watch the fireworks from the water. The Lodges at Cresthaven is the perfect place for boaters staying in Lake George. We have parking and dock space on-site, so you can bring your own boat and find a spot on the water to watch the fireworks together. There are also several fireworks cruises available. Sign up for the Fireworks Cruise with Lake George Steamboat Company and enjoy a unique vantage point of the event.
What to Bring?
If you are watching from the Village, we recommend bringing lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. You might also want to bring bug spray, sweatshirts, snacks, and water.
Can You See the Fireworks from The Lodges at Cresthaven?
Yes and no. The resort sits directly on the lake about 1.5 miles north of the Village, where the fireworks are launched. You won’t have as clear a view as you would from the Village, but you will be able to see at least some of the fireworks from our private beach area.
