Spend the Day at The Great Escape
Conveniently located 15 minutes away from our lodge is The Great Escape amusement park. There are over 100 thrilling rides, shows, and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. There is something for everyone at The Great Escape, from roller coasters to floating down the lazy river.
- Kids Rides: The Convoy has been a family favorite for over 30 years. This ride features a miniature 18-wheeler for the kids to steer along the track. Then walk through the story of Alice in Wonderland in the Fest Area of the park. Frankie’s Mine Train is a perfect ride for kids ready for their first thrill ride.
- Thrill Rides: There are dozens of thrilling rides for older kids and adults to enjoy. The brand new Adirondack Outlaw ride brings guests 164 feet in the air in a thrilling rotation. Some of our favorite roller coasters include Greezed Lightnin’, Steamin’ Demon, and Comet.
- Water Rides: Included with your Great Escape pass is access to the Hurricane Harbor waterpark. Kick back and relax on a tube floating down the Adventure River or zip down one of the water slides. The Buccaneer Beach is a water playground perfect for families with young kids.
Fireworks in the Village
After an exciting day of thrilling roller coasters and water rides, return to the village of Lake George for a spectacular fireworks show. This summertime tradition happens every Thursday through September 2nd over the waters of Lake George. Set up your chairs or blanket at Shepard Park on Canada Street. The Lake George Thursday Night Fireworks are an excellent way for the family to end the night before returning to The Lodges at Cresthaven.
